slightly different notion of what it means. This workshop is about
right action, walking the walk, and showing your devotion with
excellence. It is a guide to creating and challenging your own
personal devotional practice, with an emphasis on taking action in
your personal religious life. This workshop will help you create
exercises to help you deepen the practice you've built: increasing
regularity, scheduling, defining your audience, working with others.
It's a discussion of things to do rather than things to believe.
Intro to the Therapeutic Touch - Jim Dinovo
Gives an introduction to the energy system of the body, such as some of the similarities between prana and chi; various hands-on healing techniques, including Shiatzu, Reiki, and touch therapy. A demonstration of dowsing the chakras with a pendulum, and participants will pair up for a basic touch healing demonstration via guided meditation.

I would LIKE to touch on some of the more hard-core practices just for informative reasons, such as thw use of extreme pain and fasting combined with extreme physical activity to get into trance during the Sioux Sun Dance Ceremony. But I want to more strongly emphasize ways modern folk living in the so-called "Civilized" world can use trance in todays modern settings in the privacy of their own homes or gathering places and still be able to go to work on Monday Morning.
